Project SPACE ROME Contemporary Art

Project SPACE ROME Contemporary Art was founded as a place for international artistic projects, artist exchanges, residencies, encounters, and dialogue between artists, curators, and art historians from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

The idea for this space in Rome originated with Susanne Kessler, herself a visual artist with a long-standing international practice. Over the years, her working space has welcomed numerous international artists and art scholars. Many of them have lived, worked, exhibited, or entered into creative dialogue there.

Project SPACE ROME Contemporary Art is intended to be a meeting place — a space in which artistic work can contribute to understanding between people, cultures, and nations.
